While they aren’t Thomas Trackmaster layouts, here are some layouts of other types of trains to give you some ideas how you might do something similar. Many are more elaborate than you might want to do, but you can simplify them and still get some cool layouts!

Thomas Track Layout Bulk Sets

Thomas Track layouts inspiration is everywhere. If you want to be the Thomas Track Master, you can look at other peoples layouts, and you can look at model railroad layouts.

 

For inspiration, search Google Images and Flickr for Thomas Train Tracks. As your kids get more sophisticated in their designs, you can also look for maps of real railroad switching yards. If you want to try to design your tracks before building them, there’s a program called AnyRail you can get for free.


Bulk Tracks

Of course, if you’re going to do these layouts, you’re going to need lots of track. That’s why we recommend bulk track sets like this (purchase directly from Amazon through the link).
